System Requirements

VOS is a Client/Server application. Your data is stored on a server and is accessed by multiple clients. This design allows for easier management of your software, better performance, fewer errors, and increased scalability. This provides a more reliable system that is able to grow with your office.

ChiroTechs

Future Health has partnered with ChiroTechs to develop a robust, stable and controlled hosted Certified Virtual Office Suite (CVOS) server environment. By combining enterprise grade server hardware and Microsoft’s latest server technology, ChiroTechs is able to provide a worry-free, optimized CVOS application experience. ChiroTechs has developed a way to access CVOS remotely, over the internet with incredible speeds.

ChiroTechs first installed the CVOS database and application on the same server, which mitigates any network connection or bandwidth issues. ChiroTechs than utilizes Microsoft “Remote Desktop Services” to provide a remote accessible virtual desktop that can be accessed from any computer connected to the internet. By utilizing these best practices, ChiroTechs has reported near zero application issues and 2 – 3 times speed increase. This Solution also provides each remote user with the same remote desktop experience that has the processing power of a “super computer. The outcome is FAST, secure, error-free CVOS access from any internet or local area network connection without modifying or purchasing anything for your Clinic computing environment.

Most importantly, ChiroTechs understands that Clinic’s size and requirements differ in many ways, so we have developed three hosting solutions to fit each Clinic.

  1. Remote CVOS Shared Hosting Services (Most Popular)
This low cost solution is designed for the average sized single DC Clinics that require less than 10 concurrent username logons. It's a shared server solution which utilizes our datacenter hosting facility and our shared enterprise hosted servers. ChiroTechs manages supports and optimizes an array of shared servers that remote Clinics can connect to and utilize. These servers are purchased patched, upgraded and Licensed by ChiroTechs. This hosted server solution is priced by concurrent remote connection (per user name License).

  2. Remote CVOS dedicated Server Hosting
This solution is designed for larger Clinics that are interested in hosting >10 users logged in at the same time, but would like ChiroTechs to manage and host a ChiroTechs owned, licensed, and managed server in a controlled and secure data center environment. It's a dedicated CVOS server solution which utilizes our datacenter hosting facility and a dedicated ChiroTechs server. ChiroTechs is responsible for managing, supporting and optimizing this dedicated server and ensuring that the server is available near 100%. Even though these servers are purchased by ChiroTechs, these servers remain dedicated to the designated clinic. These servers are purchased patched, upgraded and Licensed by ChiroTechs. Each Clinic that utilizes these servers will pay a predetermined monthly fee for this hosted solution and not per/user name

    See Details and System Requirements

  3. On Premise CVOS dedicated Server Hosting
This solution is designed for the larger Clinic that would like to retain their data onsite at the clinic, but want ChiroTechs to remotely manage and support a dedicated server that is installed at the Clinic location. This option does not qualify the clinic for a reduced annual maintenance fee with FH for CVOS. This dedicated CVOS server solution places a customer owned new server onsite at the Clinic that is configured the same as the #2 Solution. ChiroTechs is responsible for managing, supporting and optimizing this dedicated server and ensuring that the server is available near 100%. These onsite Clinic server hardware and Licensing are purchased by the clinic and remain dedicated to the designated clinic. Each clinic that selects this solution will purchase their own server, defined by ChiroTechs and ChiroTechs will be responsible for remote setup, configuration, and complete management of this system. Each Clinic that selects this solution will only pay a predetermined monthly ChiroTechs management fee for this onsite managed solution and not per/user name

Workstations

Note: Microsoft Vista Business or higher will work as a workstation operating system. At this time Future Health does not recommend Vista over XP Professional. VOS works great in Vista, but many third-party hardware/software drivers may have complications with the infant operating system.

Recommended Workstation Requirements:

ProcessorRecommended: 2.4 GHz or Higher (Pentium cor 2 duo)
MemoryRecommended: 4 GB
Operating SystemWindows 7 Pro/Ultimate
DisplayFor best experience monitor size of 17 inches or larger is ecommended with screen resolution optimized or 1280x800.
Hard Drive1 GB available free space
NetworkWired or Wireless 100/1000

Server

Recommended Server Requirements:

Processor2.0 GHz or Higher
MemoryRecommended 3 GB or Higher
Operating SystemWindows Server 2008 R2
Hard Drive

Minimum: 40 GB

Recommended: 500 GB or greater

NetworkWired 100/1000

It is recommended that your server be dedicated for VOS and not used as a workstation.

Other Important System Requirements

With a server OS, each Client Machine/Device needs to have a client license from Microsoft and depending on the network you may need to purchase additional licenses. (5 client licenses come included with Server 2003) Server 2003/2008 and XP-Pro can be used as a server operating system. Windows Vista Business, or Vista Ultimate may be used only as a workstation OS. (UAC will need to be disabled on all vista machines) The server must be connected to the network router/hub with a wired connection.

Networking Your Office:

VOS is a Client/Server application so it needs a secure and stable network. Wired networks work best for connectivity and uptime. Wireless networks are great for mobility, but can have serious connection problems if not planned correctly. Wireless networks can be compromised by environmental interferences such as; outside interference, concrete walls, other wireless devices, poor placement of wireless access points, etc. Future Health requires a stable wireless network environment. In an unstable wireless network environment, VOS will report " Master executable" or "File not found" errors and will not run as expected. Whether your choose a wired or wireless network we recommend that you hire a network professional with appropriate networking installation/configuration experience to setup your network.

**Special Note: Please consult with your IT specialist when considering a wireless system to ensure proper connectivity and efficiency. If a wireless network is desired, we recommend using an 802.11N wireless access point.

Internet Requirements

A High-speed Internet connection is required (0.8Mbs up / 1.5Mbs down). You must have an Internet connection to receive installation, updates, training, and support.

When utilizing the Patient Educator:

The network must be a wired network. Each monitor showing the Patient Educator material shoud have a dedicated workstation with Windows XP (Pro SP3), Windows Vista (Business/Ultimate), or Windows 7 (Pro/Ultimate) with minimum2GB or more RAM, 80GB HD, and 2.0 GHz CPU. The Patient Educator can also be ran on a shared workstation to a monitor using dual video cards.

Recommended monitor specifications:

Size: 19" or greater Monitor Resolution: 1024 x 768 or greater If there are multiple site locations (clinics) using the Virtual Educator, each site location will require its own server.

Alternative Networking Options:

The Virtual Office Suite (VOS) can be accessed using thin-clients or terminal services. For more information on these options, contact a Future Health Solutions Consultant at: 1-888-434-7347
